Workshop Body, Chimney cowl/cover

Post by JeepGeek »

Hi,

Does anyone know where I can find some close up photos, or can provide detail on the cover over the cimney on a ST-6 workshop body?? Unfortunately the cover on mine was lost when I bought the vehicle. Currently its a pipe at 90 degrees pointing upwards but I've seen photos of some workshop bodies with what appears to be a curved box round the chimney.

Dimensions would be helpful so I can have a replacement fabricated.

What is cimney on a ST-6 workshop? Is ST-6 Studebaker?

This is an ST-6 workshop body (I'm pretty sure).

Hi Fernando,

Sorry, ST-6 refers to the workshop body load (as shown in the photo) which was fitted to some CCKWs.

Some workshops had an Evanair heater installed inside, the chimney is the flue for the heater:

If you look top left on the front of the body you can see the chimney cover to the right of the aerial. Unfortunately my truck is missing the chimney cover and I'd like to source a replacement

Hi Fernando

Sorry for the late reply, been a bit busy. Aha, the picture is misleading, this one isn't mine. Mine like yours doesn't have a winch. Proper photo below:
