Transfercase seal numbers

Post by Nick41 »

My sandblasted guy said he could do the transfercase separate. So I am going to rebuild it in my off time. Got a kit from VoV, but it has leather seals, is there a national or napa number for the banjo style transfercase? Any number would be great. Or a better place Thanks

if it is banjo, you can use M211 seals. MUCH BETTER!

You will have to install the yoke into the cap then install that onto the xfer. They are tight

Did you still need to sleeve the yoke if there is some wear? Also there is some slop in the splines on the yoke. My two options would be NOS yokes(if I can find them) or loctite makes a product(66040 surface repair) that is an epoxy that fills in the gaps and is supposed to make a strong repair. The loctite would eliminate all slop, were a NOS yoke make still have some movement. Is there any source for the speedo gear, specifically the the smaller one that screws out of the transfercase and attaches directly to the speedo cable?
Thanks

I wanted to post the numbers for the new style seals for the banjo transfercase. National number 410085N, speedi seal number 99200. NAPA said they were both good numbers. I am currently working on new style seals for the shifter shafts.

These are for the Banjo case. Try to take the yoke and old seal in to NAPA(if you have a good parts guy), they should be able to use those measurements to get a new style seal. You may need to speedi sleeve it. I have done that on other projects.

recently I have replaced banjo transfer box seals, I have used following seals 88,5x65,9x12,7, two for each shaft since original leathers are twice as thick, works well so far
