No brakes cont.

Post by Lugnut »

Well in my on going quest to restore the brakes on my 43 CCKW, I found a wheel cylinder leaking. I fixed that with a wheel cyl. kit. Then I found a 7 inch section of hose in the vacume line that was pinched shut. I replaced that with 1/4 inch thick hydrolic hose. Then we tryed bleeding the brakes again. I got fluid from all 8 points, but still no peddle. We called a guy that worked on trucks in the army, he said to unscrew the discharge line from the master cylinder and screw in a plug. I did this and no resistance at all. So I will put a re-build kit in and go from there. Also, could the linkage going into the master cylinder be out of adjustment? And how would you correct this? And does anyone know the NAPA part# for the master cylinder kit??? Thanks in advance.
