I am in the process of cutting a CCKW chassis to graft into my good rear end. The chassis I am using is CCKW 353 88217 A2, I think it is about a July 42, but gratefull if someone could give me a close/exact date.
The reason it is being cut is that my project CCKW has a 1.5 ton Chev front chassis grafted into it after it was involved in a road smash many years ago as a fire truck, the rear of this chassis is perfect. The donor truck has a plated rear and has been heavily overloaded and bent, but th efront is perfect. Plus a good friend has given it to me for free. Now there is just some freight once it has been cut to bring the 2 together.
Have attached a pics so you can see what/where I am at with it.
